Comb fitting for a hair ornament, such as a tiara or a coronet, in real tortoiseshell, set with a gold hinge fitting bearing a marigold mark of Child and Child; antique English Victorian period from the 1890s. The comb would be a fitting for an Arts & Crafts or Art Nouveau hair ornament, such as seen in the last image - an illustration of Child and Child ivy leaves and berries ornament from the book Artists' Jewellery: Pre-Raphaelite to Arts and Crafts by Charlotte Gere and Geoffrey C. Munn, 1989.
