Charming silver plated tray on four feet, depicting the famous Lion Monument in Luzern; antique Swiss late 19th century. The monument was designed by Bertel Thorvaldsen and created in 1820, commemorating the Swiss Guards during the french Revolution. Inscription reads Helvetiorum Fidei Ac Virtuti - To the Loyalty and Bravery of the Swiss.
