Beautiful small blown glass square decanter with gilded star pattern, set with a ball stopper, Georgian style, ideal for serving whisky; antique English circa 1800.

Condition: some surface wear

Size: Wide: 7 cm Height: 18 cm

Style notes — Georgian period mainly refers to the second half of the 18th century and up to the 1820s. The style was predominantly neo-classical, that looked back at the ancient Greece and Rome and used those elements in design and decoration. Most Georgian items have straight and very clean lines and elegant repetitive floral patterns.

Facts of Lavish Tip — decanters, wine carafes and narrow jugs can be cleaned using rock salt or rice and vinegar. Salt and rice act as an abrasive. Rinse well and let it dry thoroughly.
