Egyptian Revival style in decorative arts used elements inspired by the ancient Egyptian culture. First it became popular around the 1800s due to the campaigns of Napoleon Bonaparte in Egypt. More recently Egyptian style was in much vogue after the 1922 discovery of the fabulous treasures of king Tut.
