Imposing wine goblet in blown glass, massive bucket shaped bowl set on a tall stem, engraved and inscribed with a Sunderland Bridge scenery; antique English Georgian style and period, from circa 1820. Base 9 cm diameter.

Style notes — late Georgian period mainly refers to the early 19th century, up to 1838. The style was predominantly neo-classical, that looked back at the ancient Greece and Rome and used those elements in design and decoration. Most Georgian items have straight and very clean lines and elegant repetitive floral patterns.
