Slick pottery trio tea set with a teapot, sugar bowl and a creamer, pottery gilded all over, by Price Kensington; vintage English 1950s. A classical example of a Mid-century Modern style.

Style note — many household products designed in the Mid-Century Modern style were manufactured using new and unexpected materials – homewares in chrome, nickel, aluminium and plastic as well as plywood for furniture. They allowed creating new shapes on an industrial scale and were easy to use.
