Sunset in the Jungle, watercolour by Lady Marianne Lucy Le Poer Trench (1888-1940), inscribed, titled and signed on the reverse. Lady Trench was a prolific landscape painter and teacher from England, she studied at the Slade School of Art under Bertram Nicholls (1883-1974) and between 1920 and 1940 she exhibited extensively at the Royal Society of Artists Birmingham, Royal Society of British Artists, Royal Hibernian Academy, Royal Scottish Academy, Royal Cambrian Academy, and the Royal Academy. She has travelled in the Far East and therefore many of her works reflect her travels.

Condition: watercolour in good condition, scuffs on the frame, mount with foxing
