View condition. Traditional decanter with cut glass panelled pattern of a barrel shape, commonly known as a Nelson shape, set with a spiky spire stopper, of the Late Georgian style. Perfect for serving port, sherry and table wine; antique English 1840s.

Condition: some surface wear, chip on the stopper tip

The style was predominantly neo-classical, that looked back at the ancient Greece and Rome and used those elements in design and decoration.
