Classical cut glass barrel shaped decanter for port or sherry wine, of the Georgian style, set with a mushroom stopper; antique English Regency circa 1810.

Condition: some surface wear, small chips on the stopper tip

Style notes — late Georgian period mainly refers to the early 19th century, up to 1838. The style was predominantly neo-classical, that looked back at the ancient Greece and Rome and used those elements in design and decoration. Most Georgian items have straight and very clean lines and elegant repetitive floral patterns.
