Unusual and rare X-shaped folding stand in solid oak with cut out handles. Antique English Arts & Crafts style, Victorian period from the late 19th century.
Size: folded 70.5 x 30.5 cm; open 65.5 cm high, 28 cm wide.
Condition: some surface wear and scratches, solid structure
Arts & Crafts was one of the most important styles in the late Victorian period. Among other sources, the style drew its inspiration from the mythology of the British Isles and from the fabulous legends about king Arthur. The products were designed to a high standard, using traditional materials and techniques.
