Spectacular screaming orange medium jug with floral decoration in pottery, great for serving water at the dinner table, by James Kent; vintage English 1930s.

Style note — items in the Art Deco style were often produced using new materials of the period, such as stainless steel, aluminium and Bakelite – an early type of plastic. Bold colours were used to produce attractive design by creating strong contrasts.
Facts of Lavish Tip — decanters, wine carafes and narrow jugs can be cleaned using rock salt or rice and vinegar. Salt and rice act as an abrasive. Rinse well and let it dry thoroughly.
