Interesting Georgian ale glass on a wrythen stem. Hand blown crystal glass, perfect for drinking port and sherry wines. Antique English from circa 1770. Base: 7.2 cm diameter.

Style notes — Georgian period mainly refers to the second half of the 18th century and up to the 1820s. The style was predominantly neo-classical, that looked back at the ancient Greece and Rome and used those elements in design and decoration.
