Beautiful mahogany work table on castors. The top lid opens to reveal a large compartment. The lower drawer slides to reveal a fabric lined storage box. Decorated with gadrooning and acanthus scrolls, rosewood veneer. Antique English William IV style and period from the 1830s.

Style notes — late Georgian period mainly refers to the early 19th century, up to 1838. The style was predominantly neo-classical, that looked back at the ancient Greece and Rome and used those elements in design and decoration. Most Georgian items have straight and very clean lines and elegant repetitive floral patterns.
