Beautiful Art Deco globular barrel decanter with panelled pattern in cut glass. Ideal for serving whisky, liqueurs as well as port and sherry; vintage English 1930s.

Condition: small chips to the stopper, minor surface wear

Size: 11 cm W, 26 cm H.

Style note — Art Deco was dominant in the 1920s, 30s and 40s. It originated in France, and is short for Arts Decoratifs, inspired by the 1925 Paris world fair “International Exposition of Modern Industrial and Decorative Arts”. The style was dominant in architecture and the everyday design, including homewares and home decorations.
