Rare large butter dish and lid, of an octagonal shape, in cut crystal glass, with very sharp diamond pattern decoration; antique Irish, Georgian style and period from circa 1820.

Condition: small surface chips, scratched

Style notes — Georgian period mainly refers to the second half of the 18th century and up to the 1820s. The style was predominantly neo-classical, that looked back at the ancient Greece and Rome and used those elements in design and decoration.
