Beautiful and unusual pair of Arts & Crafts candlesticks with barley twist decoration in wood, brass collars; antique English circa 1900.

Style note — Arts & Crafts was a major international movement in design. It started in Victorian Britain in the 1860s, and came as a reaction to the industrialisation and mass production. It was about simple and functional, high quality and skilfully produced homewares and furniture, using simple natural materials.
