Style note — Art Deco was dominant in the 1920s, 30s and 40s. It originated in France, and is short for Arts Decoratifs, inspired by the 1925 Paris world fair “International Exposition of Modern Industrial and Decorative Arts”. The style was dominant in architecture and the everyday design, including homewares and home decorations.

Facts of Lavish Did you know? Almost all worn silver plated items can be easily replated at a fairly low cost. In fact, most of the old items probably have been replated at least once in their lifetime.
