Bone china cake stand
Magnificent cake stand or tazza in bone china of the Late Georgian style with painted floral decoration, green and gilded; antique English 1830s.
Condition: some surface wear, scratched
Late Georgian period mainly refers to the early 19th century, up to 1838. The style was predominantly neo-classical, that looked back at the ancient Greece and Rome and used those elements in design and decoration. Most Georgian items have straight and very clean lines and elegant repetitive floral patterns.
